1. Get Familiar With Your Diamond Drilling Tools

2. Pre-Work Inspection & Tool Maintenance

3. Firmly Fix Marble Workpieces

6. Maintain Stable Drilling Posture
Hold the drill steadily to avoid wobbling during cutting. For high-precision holes, use positioning templates or drill guides to guarantee vertical drilling. Extra caution is needed when drilling close to marble edges—even minor slippage will chip or split the fragile stone surface.
7. Proper Bit Installation, Avoid Over-Tightening
When mounting diamond hole saw bits or core drills into drill chucks, only fasten to a snug fit. Excessive tightening will strip internal threads, lock the cutter in place, and create abnormal stress that may crack the tool body mid-operation.
8. Watch Out for Abnormal Working Signals
Pause drilling immediately if you notice warning signals: sharp high-pitched squealing, intense abnormal vibration, or stalling resistance from the cutter. These signs indicate the bit is jammed or the marble is under cracking pressure. Do not force drilling; inspect the workpiece and tool before resuming.
9. Follow Manufacturer-Recommended Rotation Speed

Excessively high RPM leads to instant overheating, stone thermal cracks and rapid diamond grit loss;
Too low speed increases tool abrasion and reduces cutting efficiency.

10. Take Regular Cooling Breaks
Prolonged continuous drilling accumulates extreme heat on both the cutter and marble slab. Stop working periodically to let the diamond bit cool naturally, which avoids tool burnout and marble thermal damage.
11. Post-Use Cleaning & Dry Storage
After finishing all drilling tasks:
Rinse all diamond tools thoroughly with clean water to wash off stone slurry, dust and debris;
Dry completely, then store in a dry, moisture-proof tool cabinet to prevent rust on metal shanks and base bodies;
Separate different sizes of hole saws to avoid scratching the diamond cutting edges during storage.
